Red River of the North Flood 2009
Flooding in the Red River of the North Basin and in western Minnesota.
A heavier than normal snowpack this past winter followed by a rapid warmup beginning in mid-March followed by rain events March 22nd through the 24th on frozen soils have resulted in record to near-record flooding in the upper Red River of the North basin and some tributaries in the upper Minnesota River basin.
