Red River of the North National Water-Quality Assessment (NAWQA) Study
The Red River of the North Basin Study-Unit was part of the U.S. Geological Survey's National Water-Quality Assessment (NAWQA) Program, and was located in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. The long-term goals of this program were to describe the status and trends in the quality of a large, representative part of the Nation's surface-water and ground-water resources, and to analyze data associated with the primary factors affecting the quality of these resources. The study was discontinued on September 30, 2001.
