UZIGs membership is managed by a listserv, UZIG-L. Visit the address above to join UZIG and view past conversations among unsaturated zone scientists. After you join, you will be able to initiate conversations among all UZIG members and you will receive messages posted to the list. This UZIG-L list is being maintained to facilitate and archive communications necessary to achieve the goals of UZIG. It is appropriate to post technical questions, to share ideas, and to start conversations about unsaturated-zone science topics. It is also appropriate to facilitate collaborations by posting job, meeting, and funding announcements. It is not appropriate to use this listserv to market commercial products. Please keep the conversations respectful.

Default Settings:

A few comments about the list's default user settings. Upon joining, you will receive 2 email messages, the first a welcome message and the second contains some basic information about how to interact with the listserv.

Subscription Type: set to index (HTML format), this means you will get a daily email whenever a message has been sent to the UZIG-L list. The index contains the email subject, sender, and a link to the full message. If you want to receive every message as it is posted (more email traffic), select "Regular", or if you want all complete messages daily in a single email, select "Digest".

Mail Header Style: set so that each email you receive from the list should be prefaced by [UZIG-L], making it easy to apply filters in your email program to organize UZIG emails and keep them out of your SPAM folder.

To change your settings, visit the UZIG-L page, click on log in, create a password if you don't have one, follow the email prompts. Once logged into the server, click on "join or leave UZIG-L" to update your settings. You can also change the name associated with your email address here.

Leaving and re-subscribing to the list:

If you wish to be removed from or added to UZIG-L, you will need to communicate with the server, LISTSERV@lists.ufl.edu, and NOT the email list. To unsubscribe, send an email to LISTSERV@lists.ufl.edu with no subject and the body text SIGNOFF UZIG-L. To re-subscribe to this list, send an email to LISTSERV@lists.ufl.edu with no subject and the body text SUBSCRIBE UZIG-L.
